The common tasks that door supervisors undertake is checking the suitability of anyone joining a particular venue. The routine check is if one is in possession of dangerous or unwanted weapons, drugs and objects.

The next Small Business Network meeting will be held on Thursday 11 July 2013, in London. Its theme will be 'Securing the Future' and it will focus on private security and the police family.

This is the eleventh meeting, and it is being organised and facilitated by representatives from the Small Business Network, with the support of the Security Industry Authority.

The event is open to delegates directing, managing or operating in small businesses with up to 250 employees.
